Mandy Botham started playing basketball at the age of 10 in her hometown of Prince George, BC. She played throughout high school and in grade 11 had to play on the Sr. Boys team because there weren’t any other girls who wanted to play at her small high school.
She went on to play for 2 years at Grande Prairie Regional College where she was a student-athlete on the most prolific Women’s Wolves Basketball team in GPRC history.
During the 1994-1995 season, Botham’s Wolves had a perfect ACAC regular-season record and captured the ACAC Championship.
Then at the CCAA Women’s Basketball National Championships, the Wolves earned a bronze medal in Nova Scotia.
Botham started her coaching career in her hometown of Prince George, BC. She was a high school basketball coach and quickly went on to become the Head Coach for BC Provincial Teams and an Assistant Coach at the Canada Basketball Centre for Performance in Vancouver.
She also served as an Assistant Coach with the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves, in her hometown of Prince George.
Botham’s post-secondary coaching career has taken her to different parts of Western Canada.
She has served as the Head Coach of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Eagles in
Surrey, and then spent two seasons as the Head Coach at Grande Prairie Regional College.
In May of 2019, Botham was announced as the new Head Coach of the RDC Women’s Basketball Team and made the move to Red Deer.
Mandy is passionate about developing
basketball from the grassroots up in Central Alberta.
She enjoys working with athletes of all skill levels who have a great work ethic and a desire to improve.
Coach Botham’s specialty is individual and small group training with high-performance athletes and those who aspire to play basketball after high school and professionally.

TESTIMONIAL

“Winnipeg Super Sports” subsequently known as Coast To Coast Sports were a great addition to the family zone at The Canada Summer Games Festival. They brought a high energy activation that was enjoyed by many. We look forward to working with them again.”
