- Manitoba Drive Inc. is a registered non profit company that aids to continue the growth of amateur sport in the province.
- At this time we are happy to announce birth of Mid West Women’s Basketball League (MWWBL).
- This newly formed 18+ league is sanctioned by Basketball Manitoba.
- It will be a 6 game regular season, plus playoff(s) format.
- Estimated one(1) game per week typically held on Sunday’s.
- Currently the league is looking to fill rosters its spring 2016 preseason.
- MWWBL is identifying players & coaches for its program(s).
- For many teens once they graduate from high school in Manitoba, if they were not picked up by a College or University unfortunately their careers have ended.
- MWWBL will allow the opportunity for these athletes to continue their development.
- The objective is to be a competitive league.
- There is no age cap.
- Some players that are older in age & have experience maybe considered to play and become mentors in the first two seasons.
- Players that register for MWBL will be looked at to compete for league play and Provincial team.
- Women age 17 in grade 12 & or 18+ are welcomed & encouraged to register.
- The league currently has a total of 4 teams looking to fill rosters of 10 – 12 players per.
- This opportunity will be extended to approximately 40-50 participants in the province of Manitoba & beyond.
Registration Fee & Deadline
- Registration fee is $75 per registrant…. PLUS $40 UNIFORM FEE!
- All cheques can be made payable to Manitoba Drive Inc.
- Once a player has made a team there is no more fees to be paid.
